It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: She got into the Courier business at a young age. Her parents enrolled her in a Bard school at a young age so that she could practice her necromantic talents. She's also a talented Soapmaker, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. She inherited a moderately successful company from her mother. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Mialee fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
