The family never returned to the forest due to the painful memories there. Nalaed took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up greataxe and armor she uses now. When she grew older, she became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. She began work as a mercenary for hire. She would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Halfling doctor. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.
