History: When he was but 8 years old his parents immigrated from the south. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Ekemon alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. He invented a lineage for himself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.

History: He was born at the edge of vast island. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Her hair is long and blonde with streaks of black, and is pulled back with small red clips. She has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. She wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: She likes to brag about her accomplishments and constantly tries to beat others to the punch. She has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the mountains to a summer home near a ruined castle. She would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the mountains due to the painful memories there. Paela took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up nunchaku and armor she uses now. She has since lost track of the people in her past.
