History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Thiala was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her father was a soldier and died while she was still young. Thiala was left her father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She now owns her own business.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. At a young age both her parents were killed in an accident. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. She hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: Someone believes her a fraud; and many giants want her driven away

He constantly seizes attention wherever he goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. He likes to think of himself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Motivation: Regain custody of his daughter; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion
