History: Her father raised her in a mountain cabin. Verna liked to wander the woods near her home when she was young, something she still likes to do at least once a week. She never liked modest clothing or shoes, so she would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and she developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. She was granted arcane powers by her dying sister.

Personality: He's a bit of a prankster. He knows he is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. When triggered he is a bloodthirsty maniac, stopping at nothing and killing everything for almost an hour.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Torz grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Torz. Some 9 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Torz never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.
