Personality: She is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends she is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy herself. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Merla is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: Born in the north to a Spice Merchant, Merla learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills.
