It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Through the years after Caeldrim was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Like her mother and her brother before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Stylist. She has worked as a Stylist like her mother before her.

Description: This man is unhealthily muscled, almost every single one of his veins is visible when he is not flexing. His shirts and pants tend to be short and undersized for him due to the difficulty of finding a good tailor. He wears his chestnut hair down. His eyes are a pleasant hazel.

Personality: Gilbert is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. His philosophy is that everyone needs a friend and as such shows hospitality towards all.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the mountains to a summer home near a ruined castle. He would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the mountains due to the painful memories there. Gilbert took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up mace and armor he uses now. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.
