History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He took after his mother in leading caravans. History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Through the years after Jacoba was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Jacoba's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
