History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. In her 13th year, her parents were killed by a orcs raid, leaving Shifting alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Fivin was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Monk, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Monk in service of a powerful lord somewhere. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Fisher hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.
