History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Azzakh was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Through the years after Azzakh was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Azzakh's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Azzakh and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. At a young age both her parents were killed in an accident. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. She has became unsatisfied with her lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Motivation: She is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions; and she feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help
