History: Born in the north to a Masseuse, Laucian learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. Laucian was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Laucian decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Description: This woman is moderately tanned and has just the faintest trace of an accent. She wears clothing that is held on in multiple layers but all of it is in poor condition. Her hair is greying and her face has many wrinkles. Her face possesses mild wrinkles. Her smile is extraordinarily sincere though she does not smile often.

Personality: She's a bit of a prankster. She knows she is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. She cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. She now spends her time doing works of charity.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions; and she is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs

Personality: He is happy with his job as a Miller. He turns his eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. He is obsessed with finding treasure.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and a deep hatred of dire rats

Description: This man stands a little under 3'2" and is a bit bulky. He is very muscular particularly in the legs. He wears a well pressed and immaculate suit (or dress). His hair is short and auburn. He has several tiny sapphire earrings on each ear.

Personality: He is highly sensitive about his name. He loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Jak is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: Jak hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
