History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. Cursed with vampirism at a very young age, Shax has worked very hard to control her curse. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and someone believes her a fraud

Personality: She dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the west. She has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Stableman they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter. She worked as a Miner, and she later adopted a second daughter.
