Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. Further he is a bit of a stoner and is frequently out of it.

History: He was born in the east. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Performer. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent mother; and he wants revenge against goblins

Personality: A deeply religious woman she believes everything happens for a reason. The war was a terrible time for her, and Falkrunn does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Lacking all sense, she decided to go on an adventure. She picked a direction and started trekking.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Oppleby embodies much of what other species detest in the Gnomes. He disdains his fellow easterners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: He was born in the east, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He is content; and he seems to be bored by most things
