History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. As a very small child her family refused to pay dues to a local crime lord, who ordered them killed. Her mother, a somewhat powerful mage sought to protect her and cast a teleportation spell that whisked her away. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.

History: Born in the north to a Locksmith, Five learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. Cursed with a spirit at a very young age, Five has worked very hard to control his curse. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
