Through the years after Eleanor was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Eleanor's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.
