As a young child she wandered into the woods despite her father's warnings against it. Afterwards she claimed she had encountered illithids who tried to eat her hand. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by illithids. Seraphina was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the illithids.

To get what you want from life, you must take it. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion
