She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Through the years after Valafar was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Valafar's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.
