Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by dire rats. Serpent was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the dire rats.

History: Her psionic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. Her father took her hunting and taught her how to get in the mind of other creatures. She has never given up on her writing dream.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he seems to be bored by most things
