She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Flame's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.
