Diggory's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by dire rats. Hecat was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the dire rats.
