History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Through the years after Syllin was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Syllin's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She left for the south, certain she would find work there.

History: Kerkad lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He worked as a nervous Miller and found it very stressful. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Kerkad fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: She was born in the north. Mastema was a troubled youth. She spent her days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent her evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Mastema decided she wanted neither the life of her father nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with. During her early adolescence, she took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.
