History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. After a long history of fighting, Efferil and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and seeks redemption
