History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He moved out west to avoid the crime he committed. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact.

Her mother, a somewhat powerful mage sought to protect her and cast a teleportation spell that whisked her away. Being a Miner kept her interest for a while, but then she became depressed and bored. So she turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.
