Personality: Friendly and accommodating he would invite many more into his home than his spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He was born into a rich family. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: She was born at the edge of vast mountains. There was a wharf not far from home where she often wandered off to fish. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Personality: She is a Scribe first and foremost. She believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. More though she will beg to come along on any journeys. She will attempt to stowaway on any ship she can in the hopes that it will get her further away.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. In her 15th year, her parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Melissa alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has worked as a Scribe like her father before her.
