Personality: She is irritable and easily angered. She is a bit of a bully and is not afraid to use her stature and powers to intimidate and hurt. Cloak is a bit of a follower. Usually she is manipulated by her sisters into helping them out, but recently she has become more of a free agent.

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He is skeptical of what others tell him and is slow to trust.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Gargax alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Birel embodies much of what other species detest in the Elves. She does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for her. She lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. After coming to the age of reason, Birel took it upon herself to study the psionic arts in their entirety; because of this, she was labeled a dark omen and banished from her homeland. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
