He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Half-Elven doctor. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. His mother was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He was granted arcane powers by his dying sister.

Motivation: He doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes; and he feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world

Personality: He hates illithids. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. The war was a terrible time for him, and Baern does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He tends to his Assassin job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.
