Description: This woman is tall and muscular. She wears a weathered and beat up set of banded mail beneath an oversized red coat. She has slicked back red hair. She wears large thick round spectacles.

Personality: She fancies herself a trickster and likes to rely on her wits to carry the day. She cares for her older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. Jo is a bit of a follower. Usually she is manipulated by her sisters into helping them out, but recently she has become more of a free agent.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her father. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. Recently a tribe of goblins attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Jo fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. He has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. Cursed with vampirism at a very young age, Bhevek has worked very hard to control his curse. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and he is wracked by social anxiety

Description: This man is unhealthily muscled, almost every single one of his veins is visible when he is not flexing. His shirts and pants tend to be short and undersized for him due to the difficulty of finding a good tailor. He has wavy chestnut hair. His brown eyes peer out from beneath his wide-brimmed tan hat.

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent mother; and wants to work out more often

Description: A woman with a cold, calculating air about her, she wears white leather gloves, a white jacket, and tight pants. She has styled her brown hair well, parting it to the left. Her eyes, though not visible through her cowl, are hazel.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Paela embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. She has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: A strong sense of loyalty to Human people; and expand her business
