History: Mordai lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered poetry. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

History: Kallista lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Kallista grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Kallista. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.
