Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Apothecary they were divorced and she won custody of their son. She worked as a Spice Merchant, and she later adopted a second son.

History: Vola was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Bard, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Bard in service of a powerful lord somewhere. After coming to the age of reason, Vola took it upon herself to study the martial arts in their entirety; because of this, she was labeled a dark omen and banished from her homeland. She now travels the world, in search of power and loot.
