Bethrynna's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Soapmaker they were divorced and she won custody of their son. She worked as a Weaver, and she later adopted a second son.
