His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He was granted divine powers by his dying brother.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. She inherited a moderately successful company from her mother. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by brigands. Anne was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the brigands.
