Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He has dedicated himself to building a better world.

Motivation: He desires power and/or immortality.

History: Her martial talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Carter work with an outfit from a few towns over.
