History: Megren was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her mother was employed at, doing general labor. Her mother disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her mother, she was betrayed dozens of times. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister.

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, he has a hard time making friends. He disdains his fellow northerners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. Thervan was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Thervan decided he wanted neither the life of his mother nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. Being a Carter kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.
