Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Butcher and was forced into it by his family; and wishes to resurrect an old love

Personality: He trusts no one. He is not readily capable for forgiveness and his ire never leaves him. He has a cruel streak; something he gained from his previous mentor. He harbors resentment against his former mentor.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, River was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He found a children's book about a Tabaxi Warrior who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
