He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He tends to his Shepherd job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Bernard embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He has a cruel streak; something he gained from his previous mentor. He harbors resentment against his former mentor.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Bernard grew up listening to his father's many stories. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Gunnloda hails from a village terrorized by goblins. Her family was turned out during the war. She and her family wandered east to less war torn lands. She became a Ploughman soon after.

Motivation: She doesn't get along with people that don't share her tastes; and a deep hatred of goblins
