History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Elaim alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

His chestnut hair is slicked back into a classic pompadour. His violet eyes peer out from beneath his wide-brimmed grey hat.

Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. The occasional robbery is his preferred attention getting crime, but he mainly uses his means for meeting his own perverse desires.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. Trym was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Trym decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Personality: He is intelligent and cunning, but he will too often allow his rage to get the better of him. He will lose his cool and rely on brute force to carry the day. His job bores him to no end. He has decided to make it more interesting.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature falchion.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and a deep hatred of illithids

Personality: She hates illithids. She views them as having robbed her home of its proper glory. A fanatic, her devotion to her small selection of gods is unquestionable. She claims to be doing their will and will base all her actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. She was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and she desires to right it
