History: Qemuel lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered poetry. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Personality: She is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. She takes great joy in being the best Engraver in town.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Hillanot was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her homeland was ravaged by war and she spent much of her life rebuilding it. She has worked as a Engraver like her mother before her.
