History: The child of a Mercenary, who enjoyed hunting, Mastema was taken on many hunting expeditions. Through the years after Mastema was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Mastema's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Description: She wears an old set of leather armor, nicked and torn by the ravages of time and battle. She carries with her a set of greataxes on her belt, each one with a topaz on the hilt. She has a very tight haircut. Her amber eyes dart from person to person to random spaces in the air.

Personality: She's a bit of a prankster. She knows she is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. She enjoys reading and quiet.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Vani was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Vani fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
