Personality: He is curt in most of his responses. He prefers to keep his word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: He comes from a rich eastern family. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Locksmith they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Brewer, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Personality: She considers herself the protector of her home. She feels this is her duty and calling. She believes the world needs to unite to get rid of illithids once and for all.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. Volen was a troubled youth. She spent her days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent her evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Volen decided she wanted neither the life of her father nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with. During her early adolescence, she took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.
