Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Ar-Beka's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. Ar-Beka enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: He was born in the west. His father was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Personality: She believes there is no problem she cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. She is very protective of her business, her home, and her spouse. She is willing to work with less than legal methods but maintains the front of legitimacy.

History: She was born at the edge of vast island. In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: Seeks redemption; and she feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help

Personality: She is a woman who does what she needs to. She will acquiesce to black mail and extortion to avoid trouble. She always tries to repair and not replace. It was this mentality that drove her into the Gardener business.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Her father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She used her abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.
