Some 10 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Harbek never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

History: Darrak was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Darrak fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
