Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. After a long history of fighting, Shax and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family Ostracized due to the necromantic powers of his oldest sister, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Dwarves became a terror of the countryside. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.
