History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He took after his father in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his father taught him to defend himself. When his father died while fighting dire rats, the young Dean began to lead the lost caravan. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Born in the south his family was never financially stable. Ribbles was born on a far southern desert where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Ploughman. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
