History: Ranala was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Commoner, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Commoner in service of a powerful lord somewhere. From there she went from mercenary job to mercenary job. She now owns her own business.

History: Born to a Mortician, her father struggled to pay the bills. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.
