Personality: She is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before her hampering stammer kicks in. She is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure she is not cheated out of a speck.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. She took after her mother in leading caravans. Because they were valued, her mother taught her to defend herself. When her mother died while fighting drow, the young Nogu began to lead the lost caravan. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Vani hails from a village terrorized by illithids. She was taken from her home at a very young age. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by illithids. Vani was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the illithids.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and she desires to right it
