Personality: Mary wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Adept, so she tries to act the part. She does a good job, for the most part... Her brief stint in the army gave her the idea she was invincible and that she is the toughest woman alive.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. In her formative years she discovered how persuasive she was. She began using that to her advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and she is content

Personality: He is happy with his job as a Locksmith. He turns his eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. He invented a lineage for himself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Mantus alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and he wants to meet his childhood hero

History: He comes from a rich northern family. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. After a long history of fighting, Simon and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He wants revenge against dire rats; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge
