Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. He has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. A few years later when the west was not economically sound they moved to his current location. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Shump was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the illithids.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and he is content

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Dean embodies much of what other species detest in the Half-Elves. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: Dean lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He found a children's book about a Half-Elf Druid who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

History: When he was but 7 years old his parents immigrated from the north. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and marry his brother to traveling adventurers
