History: Merla was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. She found a children's book about a Halfling Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She has worked as a Barrister like her mother before her.

History: Born to a Bookbinder, her father struggled to pay the bills. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: Wants to work out more often; and marry her brother to traveling adventurers

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Mastema isn't afraid of most anything. She has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Tiefling unity. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Mastema is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when goblins swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Her mother was very strict, and drilled into her lessons on being the perfect lady. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by goblins. Mastema was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the goblins.

Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. He takes great joy in being the best Carpenter in town.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. Ogthrak was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Ogthrak decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. Being a Carpenter kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.
