In her 15th year, her parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Tawna alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has been helping groups of widows and orphans who have fled abusive spouses or lost their families to dire rats.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. Cursed with unlife at a very young age, Akoth has worked very hard to control his curse. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Akoth fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: She was born in the south, but her parents moved at a very young age to the west. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: She is wracked by social anxiety.
