History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. At a young age she wooed the heart of her future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. Some 5 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Verna never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the forest to a summer home near a large cave. She would wander through that large cave and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the forest due to the painful memories there. Shava took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up sai and armor she uses now. She guards a vault combo very seriously as well as the key needed to open it.
